There are days when I struggle with my fellow human. I don’t understand how we can be so cruel to each other. Either on a global scale with wars we fight where it seems there really isn’t any clear winner. Or on a local scale with listening to my co-workers or people in my neighborhood spue garbage about people they don’t know only based on the color of their skin. I am sick and angry that parents don’t/won’t teach their children tolerance, actually more than that, it’s about loving people. There is a reason why the golden rule is GOLDEN. I have watched videos, read tweets, blogs, mostly exposing other peoples hatred (I was going to say ignorance, but I feel like that gives people an out), against other humans who do not act as they do or look like them. And I have wanted to put something out but haven’t been able to articulate everything (mostly feelings) into words.
I love my husband but I really don’t like American Idol. He loves this show and he gets so invested with each contestant. It would be adorkable if it was almost any other show.
It’s funny (ironically) that one of my favorite artist is Kelly Clarkson and I have to remind myself she started on this show. I think I could tolerate it a little better if I didn’t have to listen to the judges.
Anyway it is what it is.
